I am trying to edit the look of the event list. Instead of a table i wanted the events to appear in individual boxes. Also i was wondering if you can include a small thumbnail of the featured image in the event list. what is the best option to do this ? Thank you

you can do that under Events > Settings > Formatting > Events and then use placeholder #_EVENTIMAGE{x,y} where x and y are the image width and height.
