• I am trying to edit the header of the WordPress “blend” theme. I want to change the text that comes with this theme’s header. I can see the current header text in the HTML window of Firebug but I know editing the text in this window isn’t a permanent change. Where can I find the actual HTML file? The header.php file doesn’t contain what I want to change.

Thanks in advance for any help

Go into settings -> General. Whatever you put there as the values for “site title” & “tagline” will appear on your masthead.

Thanks for the input. That took care of some of the text on my header but I still have some links on this header that I would love to remove.

I have a similar problem. When I view my Source Code of my site I get my title put on the back end of the Tagline. Example: So I have a title of “abcdefg” and a tagline of xxxx in the admin section. But the Source Code shows a tagline of: “xxxx abcdefg”. This extra title added on to the tagline puts be over the 70 characters Google likes to see.

So I would like to edit this out of the tagline. What file do I need to edit to do this?

    Thanks
    Mark
