1. The plugin’s name clearly says that it includes blocks created for the new block editor called Gutenberg.
However, this doesn’t stop you from displaying recipes using the Classic Editor.
Just make sure not to enable the Classic Editor for Recipes posts so that you can create new recipes.
After you create a recipe, just copy its shortcode and insert it in a page or post edited using Classic Editor:

2. Could you provide more details about your steps for cloning a recipe?
Most probably, you’re duplicating blog posts in which you’re displaying recipes using the Insert Existing Recipe block. If this is the case, then we suggest you also duplicate the Recipe on the Recipe Cards page and then make sure to choose the new recipe in the Insert Existing Recipe block in the cloned blog post.

I already read the article but all is correct as you show. Besides, there is a problem with Gutemberg too because in recipes the options “Add to reusable blocks” is not showing. Have you any idea about this?
With Yoast Duplicate Post, instead, these are my step:
– Menu > Recipe Cards > All recipes
– Then copy a recipe with the option below but with both Clone and New Draft and Rewrite and Republish I get the alert “Update this Recipe, and the changes will apply everywhere it’s used. You can find the link to the parent post below”.

1. The option to create Reusable Blocks can only be used when creating new recipes using the Recipe Card Block (Premium) in blog posts. Even if you create recipes using this block, they will also appear in the Recipe Cards section as well, as everything is synchronized.
2. You can ignore that alert because this is not true once a recipe is cloned. This alert was added to inform users that changes in a specific recipe will be visible everywhere that recipe is embedded (via shortcode or maybe using the “Insert Existing Recipe” block).

Sadly, I can’t ignore the message because it’s true (I made several tests about it).
Although I think I find a solution for the problem. I unchecked the option “Synchronize the content of the Recipe post and parent post” and now the copies are working as they should.
Initially I thought that unchecking that setting meant that the item and recipe were no longer connected and, updating the first, the second would not be updated as well. Instead it is not like that.
