no, more like this “http://code.tutsplus.com/articles/customizing-your-wordpress-admin–wp-24941” In essence, create a new wordpress admin menu item that are similar to posts but used for one purpose…
Hi,
Are you looking for a custom post type plugin? For example, where you can create a different type of posts, like instead of Posts and Pages, a Portfolio.
If yes then check this out: https://wordpress.org/plugins/custom-post-type-ui/
Let me know. 🙂

Well I found something like that: https://generatewp.com/post-type/ and it add the “Store” menu item to the wordpress admin menu.
The only thing I couldn’t figure it out is how to add posts from Stores post type to the pages? Do I use wp_query or something? The Generate WP website won’t show an example.
And from what I’ve seen in the plugin that you wanted me to check out, it said that it only register the post type and I don’t see anything about using it in pages.
Hi,
Using it in pages requires you to create a loop, something like this: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/query-loop-for-custom-post-type-and-page-content?replies=3
There’s also a plugin Easy Content Type: http://themeisle.com/plugins/easy-content-types/
Which allows you to generate a page for your CPT too.
Let me know. 🙂

It looks like you’ve already got your custom post type working in the admin. To display content on the front end, copy your index.php and rename it to archive-{post_type}.php. That will display a list of posts and single-{post_type}.php will display a single post.
So, if you’re custom post type is team, your files will be named archive-team.php and single-team.php. Depending on how you have your permalinks setup, you can visit yoursite.com/team to see content.
Don’t forget to resave your permalinks.
