How to do this menu?

  • Hi,

I have a horizontal menu showing categories:

    Astrology
    Chinese Astrology

    etc

These categories have child categories as well:

    Astrology
    Aries | Taurus | etc

    Chinese Astrology
    Rat | Ox | etc

In Astrology archive, I set to show a default menu(only parents). But when in child category (eg. Aries) archive and posts (eg. Aries Profile), I want to display the child categories they belongs as well.

    How to do that?

I read about using category.php, archive.php and even create category-ID.php for each category, this one seems to be too much files to handle. ALso thinking about set a menu.php where I can call when needed, is that right?!

Sorry for bad english! Thanks for any help/tip.

Top level menu are listed at all times, but sub-categories and child items are only exposed as each category is viewed.
