    You can create different categories on the category page then assign your feeds to those categories. Then use the shortcode parameter category=”n”, where m is the category number on a page on your web site.

    Thats not what I mean. I mean literally on the category page to show for example “source: cnn.com” underneath the article excerpt seen on the page.

    from your description, it sounds like you’re using the Feed to Post (not the shortcode)..is that correct (since that would determine my answer). If the feed to post, all the plugin does is take each item and make it a blog post and you can set it to a category for your blog. Other than that, the presentation (which shows on which page) is determined by your theme and blog settings).

    I am using the feed to post. I know that it at this point it depends on my theme but obviously my theme does not come with an option to show the source the post was fed from. Is there a way to shortcode this into my theme files at all?

    in the Feed to Post admin section of the plugin, you have an option to show the source of the post.
