How to display additional fields in shopping card even if empty?

    Hello,
    at the moment, a field is only displayed in the shopping cart if it is filled out in the single product view. However, users should be able to fill in a field in the shopping cart even if nothing has been entered in the field in the single item view. Setting the fields as mandatory fields is not an option because then the wish list will not work correctly.
    How can I ensure that additional fields are ALWAYS displayed and are editable in the shopping cart even if they are empty respectively have not been filled in in the single product view?
