    Hi,

Thank you for the nice plugin.
I need to show a list of child categories on every category page dynamically.

If you anyone can instruct me, it would be very helpful.
    Thank you.

  • Hi @uzzalth,

One way you can do that is with the Product Category widget. It has an option to show children of the current category. That will dynamically show sub-categories only when the current category is being viewed.

See if that works for you.

Thank you very much for your reply.
It works in one way. But I want a bit different way. I want to create a slider with child categories on the main category page and the child categories will be added dynamically to the slider. Can it be possible?

    Gratitude.

    Hello @uzzalth,

Gotcha. You could create something like that. I’m not aware of any plugins that will do this for you out of the box. You might be able to find one or a theme that has such a slider built-in.

Otherwise, you could do this with a template override. It would be a fair amount of work as you’d have to include the slider and run queries to get the child categories of the current category. From a technical standpoint, it’s possible, but it will take some work to make it happen.

If you don’t feel like coding that yourself, you can hire a freelancer from Codeable that could do that for you.

    Take care
