How to disable wordpress write to .htaccess
Hello I’m using wordpress with another software in subdir.
In my situation I need to write my own rewrite rules for wordpress(in pretty permalinks mode) which don’t mess up rewrite rules of another program.
The problem started when I also often have to switch WP permalinks mode to filename mode for a period of time (for maintenance purpose) every time I switch back to pretty permalinks mode
wordpress begin to overwrite my rewrite rules
The question is how to disable wordpress from access to .htaccess
or nullify its effect.
One idea that come up in my head is just cover wordpress code with something like
<IfModule not_exist> #WP code </IfModule>
Is this work and compatible with wordpress?
