I want to sync products with GMC manually, how to turn off the plugin’s auto-sync feature, note: I have more than 20,000 products on the website, can’t choose Dont sync & show for all.

    Thank for help!

  • Hi there @ngthanhdo

Thank you for reaching out! As I understand, you are inquiring about how to selectively sync products from your WooCommerce with GMC.

Just to clarify, Google Listings & Ads will automatically sync your WooCommerce product data to Google Merchant Center and you can add or edit your products individually or in bulk. Linked directly here is the documentation on Product feed information.

An alternative would be to utilize the product CSV Importer and Exporter, that comes built-in with WooCommerce. In the resulting .CSV file, feel free to customize this meta value, as shown in the screenshot linked here.

I trust that points you in the right direction, but if you have more questions, let us know. We’re happy to help.

Thank you so much for quick reply.

To be clear, I have 2 separate files for free listing and for running ads, but when the plugin syncs all the products it adds to the ad listing it takes a toll on my budget. Thank you for guiding me by making changes in the product data. Hopefully in the future there will be a button to turn off the automatic sync feature, exclude from the ad list or something like that.

Or is there any solution to not affect the feed on GMC account?

    Hi there @ngthanhdo

The Google Merchant Center helps you sync your store and product data with Google and makes the information available for both free listings on the Shopping tab and Google Shopping Ads. That means everything about your store and products is available to shoppers when they search on a Google property. For reference, linked here is the related documentation.

To be clear, I have 2 separate files for free listing and for running ads

As I understand, you want to run both Free Listings and Smart Shopping campaigns at the same time.

Yes, you can run both at the same time, and we recommend it! In the US, advertisers running free listings and ads together have seen an average of over 50% increase in clicks and over 100% increase in impressions on both free listings and ads on the Shopping tab. Your store is automatically opted into free listings automatically and can choose to run a paid Smart Shopping campaign.

Feel free to check out this page, detailing how you can get the most out of your Smart Shopping campaign.

I trust that points you in the right direction, but if you have more questions, let us know. We’re happy to help.

    @anastas10s

I’ve read through the link you sent but still haven’t found a solution 🙁

I have 10,000 products on my website, all of which are free listing.
I only want to promote 2000 products out of 10,000 so I will have 2 feeds on GMC.
But your plugin adds unnecessary products to my ad list.
I just want the plugin to sync to my free listing and not affect my advertised listing.

Thank you so much for help.

    Hi @ngthanhdo ,

So, if aim is to prevent syncing of certain products and only sync some products — have you tried setting the Channel Visibility option for the product you don’t want to sync to “Don’t sync and show”? Please see the screenshot for reference:

    Full Size: https://d.pr/i/8XhxIE

Do let us know how that goes.

Hello, i have a similar problem, but my store has more than 600 products. I think it might be a good idea to have an option to choose the “visibity” ou “turn on and off” the Synchronization by Category of products.

    Hi, @marcuslutz2

Please create your own thread for your issue – https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/google-listings-and-ads/#new-topic-0. While I understand you have a similar inquiry, please note that each site configuration is different and that will need a separated thread.

Feel free to provide us with more details on that thread to help you further.

    Thanks for your understanding.
