In order to get more flexibility in using sidebars, I have installed the excellent ‘Custom Sidebars’ plugin. But after activating the plugin, suddenly all ‘Additional Sidebars’ and ‘Home widget areas’ that come with the RisePro theme are showing up in the backend. See this screenshot. Would there be a way to disable or hide them from the backend, to avoid confusion among other future back end users? Thanks for your help!

  • Hi @renevlak,

    Hope you’re doing well 🙂

When you use Custom Sidebars it will show the option to replace all the sidebars that you have selected to be replaceable.

So, in Appearance > Widgets all the theme sidebars are listed and each one that you set as “Allow this sidebar to be replaced” will be displayed in your post/page backend.

If you wish to hide some of them simply disable the ones that you don’t want to be replaced and that should be it.

    Hope this helps 🙂

    Cheers,

    Dear Predrag,

Thank you SO MUCH for this information. I am really happy I am now able to hide those superfluous sidebars.

    Have a great day!

    René
