Since the latest update, all of my links automatically have noreferrer noopener added to them, even though I have specified that the link open in the same window. I can’t figure out how to disable it for a specific link that authenticates for users with credentials.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Indeed, it is not currently possible to remove the noreferrer and noopener tags on links at the moment. Users mentioned that it is safer to have these tags on links for security reasons, so I made them appear on all links (https://www.techwyse.com/blog/search-engine-optimization/what-you-need-to-know-about-rel-noreferrer-attribute/).

I could add a checkbox to remove these tags in the link editor.

I would appreciate the checkbox to remove the tags. In the interim I had rebuild one of the pages without link library because of the tags. It would be nice if I didn’t have to do that for all of the affected pages.

    Thank you for your help,

I have added a new configuration option to suppress the two tags. It is located at the bottom of the advanced tab of library configuration and is called ‘Suppress noreferrer and noopener tags on links’.

Please update and try the new option, then confirm it works as expected. Also please consider donating to support this plugin’s development.
