    Hi there,

    The Loading message should only appear for a second or two, while your browser checks for any existing comments on the photo. On my own sites I use a plugin to disable comments on images, rather than that code snippet, and there the loading notice also still appears.

    In either case, the snippet or the plugin doesn’t prevent existing comments from appearing, so it also doesn’t block that loading notice. It just forces comments to closed on the image so one can’t leave any new comments.

    If the loading notice doesn’t disappear for you after a few moments, it indicates that the process of the browser trying to load comments doesn’t complete, but I’m not sure what would be causing that.

    You can hide it with some custom CSS, though – this works for me on a test site:

    div#jp-carousel-comments-loading span {
    	display: none;
    }
