How to disable auto replace space with – in the permalink?

    I want to use space (%20) in the permalink.
    I edit the formatting.php ,change the example.com/aaa-bbb.html to example.com/aaa bbb.html.
    but when I view the example.com/aaa bbb.html,I get a 404 error.
    who can help me to solve this problem?
