Have you created a custom menu? That should let you control what shows up on the menu – http://codex.wordpress.org/WordPress_Menu_User_Guide
Yes I have tried this. In the list of pages it doesnt say “home” and then “about us” (which is what i want the front page to be). It says “Home: About us” and “About us” and I’ve tried creating new menus without one and then without the other but both buttons are still in the navigation bar when I do…
Oh it says “Your theme does not natively support menus, but you can use them in sidebars…….”

Really? This theme? The current version?

It says it supports custom menus and that’s really pretty standard these days.
Yes that version, so, that’s great.
I go into Appearance –> Menus –> Create a new menu but when I do this and leave out either the Home: About us or the About Us, they are both still visible on the website.
Thank you for your help, if I can figure this out that would be amazing!
Just installed this theme on a test site – and evidently it really doesn’t support custom menus – so their theme description is not accurate :/ ! I’d generally suggest posting on the theme’s dedicated forum here:

But I know the developers don’t answer these forums, so you might try asking on their forum here:
