[Resolved] How to delete 3 Footer Widgets?

  • Hi – newbie here – does anyone know how to delete the First, Second and Third Footer Widget Areas?

    I’m using the Discover theme and don’t need these widgets but can’t see how to delete or hide them. I found something in function.php but when I comment that out I get an error.

    Thanks is advance.

    Leave the functions.php alone.

    You could just drag a Text widget into each of them, then the default widget contents won’t show.

    And (Optional) use this in theme’s Custom CSS section to hide the small empty footer widget area.

    #footer-container { display: none; }

    Worked great – problem solved – thanks for your help.
