# how to debug?

 * i’m on a plesk managed vps with root access.
 * installed wp3.2.1, configured wildcard subdomains according to proper guide in
   codex, enabled multisite, created another blog, and .. bummer. the subdomain 
   gets redirected to a plesk placeholder page (which one would also get to see 
   if one set up a subdomain via plesk, what i didn’t).
 * i rechecked everything about 10 times now, and from what i can tell there’s nothing
   wrong within this very domain – i suspect that there’s something “above”, but
   how to debug? the problem is – i do get redirected, but don’t know where (and
   why/by whom) 🙁

 * Alas, it means you configured the wildcard subdomain wrong. Where did you point
   it to?

 * assuming u mean in dns-settings – definitly not..
 * *.mine.net CNAME mine.net
 * vhosts.conf also exists with correct:
    ServerAlias *.mine.net
 * (and of course the wp-installation *does* properly work under mine.net)

 * been a typo in codex page – and silly me just looked at that.. said vhostS.conf
   in multiple places whereas it should be vhost.conf. already corrected it.
