    I have been using Mailpoet for quite a while now. I use the Mailpoet server for sending.
    For some time now, email addresses have been “bounced”. It started with 1 and now there are already 3. And none of these 3 addresses have changed anything about the email address. It is getting annoying that I can no longer send these people a news email. And who knows where it will end? 50, 100 adresses bounced?

    How can I ensure that these addresses are no longer bounced?

    Thanks in advance for your response.

    Regards,

    Theo

  • Hi Theo,

    Thanks for contacting us.

    Could you confirm these are valid email addresses?

    Our system will mark as a “Bounced” subscribers an email address that is undeliverable because:

    • the recipient’s email address no longer exists;
      there’s
    • a typo in the address (such as johndoe@hotmai.com)

    In some cases, if we detect you’ve been sending multiple times to an address and it has been soft bouncing (due to server issues), it may be marked as “Bounced” as well.

    But we would not mark legit addresses as “Bounced” if we haven’t received a bad response when sending to them. So if you can confirm these email addresses are active, please contact our Support team via email to have them removed from our bounce list.

    Thanks for your reaction.

    The problem is solved. I have send an email from the same adress and I analysed the reactions (auto-replies).

    I should have done that before, because the reasons were obvious: one adress didn’t exist, because the owner didn’t work with that firm anymore :-). I contacted another subscriber via Twitter and it seemed that she had more troubles with her hotmail-account, so she had another emailadress (which I didn’t know).

    So problem solved 🙂
