 * I need to customize the template for the size/color (aka variation) dropdowns.
   I’ve tried customizing variable.php and putting it in themes/my-theme/woocommerce
   but the file is being completely ignored. The variable dropdown is in a table
   and looks terrible on mid-size screens, when there isn’t enough space to accomodate
   the label & dropdown side by side.
 * How can I customize this template file?

 * Hi, [@echoleaf](https://wordpress.org/support/users/echoleaf/)!
 * Did you add the variable.php template to this path?
 * `themes/[your-theme-name]/woocommerce/single-product/add-to-cart/variable.php`
 * When I do that I see any `variable.php` customisations reflected on the site:
 * [⌊Screenshot showing customisations to the variable.php file reflected on the
   front-end of the site.⌉⌊Screenshot showing customisations to the variable.php
   file reflected on the front-end of the site.⌉[
 * If you accidentally put the file in `themes/your-theme-name/woocommerce/variable.
   php` or elsewhere instead, that would have no effect — it needs to use the full
   path of the original WooCommerce template file.
 * I hope that helps! For further questions about theme and plugin template customisation

 * Thanks – that did the trick. I had not tried the /add-to-cart folder and had
   left /templates in.

 * Sorry for another question: I’m trying to move the product title (h1) to be above
   the product image. It’s unclear to me if I have to do it WooCommerce way & or
   do it the Genesis way. The various WooCommerce solutions I’ve found on Stack
   Overflow have not worked. And I can’t find a template file that handles the overall
   page layout.
