    I want to completely customize the header with handcoded PHP (or perhaps HTML; have yet to see which is better) for each of my two sites (one in English, the other Arabic) multisite installation.

    The header.php I see in the Network admin section does not reflect the changes I have done via customization of the header on the individual sites (using the ‘Customize’ option provided by the theme).

    So I am wondering where to make these changes.

    (The theme I am using is Astra, although I can easily switch to another if that makes the task of code customizing easier. Later I would like to do the same for the body, but I feel once the header is sorted, the body should be similar.)

    The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hi @huzaifazoom First of all before make any changes in your theme, create a child theme and actiate. Then whatever you want edit just create that file in your child theme here your header.php.

    Thanks @alithewpdev for the quick reply. That seems simple enough.
    Will try it out and see how it goes.

    And I was able to i) set up and upload the child theme, ii) Network activate it and choose it for one of the multisites, iii) adding some text to the child theme’s header.php, and iv) seeing the change reflected on the header.

    This is where I wanted to get at. I can now start the customization experimentation with PHP, which is independent of a multisite setup.

    Thanks so much @alithewpdev

    I just got started with wordpress and started by creating my website using the Astra theme and the outdoor adventure starter site.
    I created a new page and a menu but the header appears white background. It doesn’t does not show the image of a header image from the other pages.
    How do I make sure the new page inherits the properties of the headers from the other pages like the conctact page. Thank you.

    @huzaifazoom I’m glad i could help you.

    Hi @bbcud Are you using any page builder or just gutenberg?

    Thank you very much. I got it resolved.
