How to Create Thumbnail Gallery with Links

    I’m new to WordPress and am not very tech savvy, so I greatly appreciate your help! I have a food and craft blog that I am in the process of moving over to WordPress. I’m currently trying to create a thumbnail gallery with captions that will link to each respective post. I have created a gallery through “Add Media”, but it only gives me the option for a carousel gallery and I can’t link the captions.

    I’ve tried searching on how to change it from carousel to thumbnail, but haven’t had any luck. Does anyone have any suggestions?
