How to create seasonal archive

    I have football website contains highlight videos, and so far already running for two seasons.
    I want to archive all of my old posts by season.

    for example:

    all post from July 2011 to June 2012 is in archive for 2011/12 season
    all post from July 2012 to June 2013 is in archive for 2012/13 season
    and for upcoming archive from all post in July 2013 to June 2014 for 2013/14 season, which not yet finished.

    my question is how to create seasonal archive like that? should i create a new categories? or there are any plugins would do automatically something like that?

    Is there anyone know how to do this?

    Tags or Categories or even a custom taxonomy would do the job. Then you would just need to supply a “page” that filters by said category/tag/custom taxonomy.

    Probably easiest to use the tools WordPress already provides and just use a category called Season and then have sub-categories for the specific seasons. Then just create the appropriate menu item to display the posts filtered by that specific category (Menu->Categories and select the category you want that menu item to display).
