(We’re actually using WordPress 3.4.1.)
If at all possible, we need our RSS feed to feature text that is *different* from our posts. Is that possible? In other words: the RSS feed would feature text a; our post would feature text b.
I’ve just now looked through discussions in this forum, but couldn’t find anything that matched what we’re looking for.
Does anyone have ideas how that could be done? If so, please let me know. We’ve been providing partial feeds only, but a recent article was scraped just last night. Google indexed/ranked the scraper’s article (a minor blog), but not ours. I’m assuming our *original* content was seen as a duplicate.
We’ve been having serious problems with scrapers and/duplicate content that in turn has led to issues with Google — whose bot apparently can’t tell who posted what first. (Note: our feed already includes date, author, site, etc.)
Any assistance would be MUCH appreciated.
