How To … Create Reply Form Separate From Comment Form?

    Hi All,

I am diving head-first into WP theme development, and was wondering what the best way would be to create a Reply form (the form used to reply to other comments) that is different from the Comment form (the form used to leave comments).

Things I would like to change on the reply form:
    – form title
    – remove some custom fields
    – rename field labels

One thought I had was to create another reply form underneath each comment and keep it hidden until needed. However, the obvious drawback with that is that it would severely bloat the size of the page.

Optimally it could be an AJAX form using jQuery that is loaded dynamically upon request without refreshing the page. I haven’t been able to find any plugins that satisfy all these requirements. What would you suggest?

    Thanks!
    ~Mike

I haven’t checked your exact needs, but most people miss cformsii as it is not in the WordPress plug-in directory:

I found that I could get it do almost anything because it has an API that lets you basically build your own form application within its infrastructure.
