  • You need to enable permalinks in the WP-Admin Options….

    Take a look at http://codex.wordpress.org/Using_Permalinks.

    I tried that but it doesn’t do what I was looking for, the permalinks seem to only be for blog categories and not pages, when you add anything to permalinks, for pages it just gets written as site/this-is-page-name

    i was looking to keep it on default and have the url be /index.php?q=this-is-page-title
