Depends on what you want those paths to be.
You can have a Custom Post Type of offer, with a post name of lp, or you can use categories. If you’re asking about making that a separate site, it’s a different question all together.
I want to make something like:
http://www.mydomain.com/dating/offername/lp1
http://www.mydomain.com/dating/offername/lp2
http://www.mydomain.com/dating/offername/lp3
So for every different offer I want to post different landing pages.
So on the url http://www.mydomain.com/dating I don’t necessarily need content to show up. It’s to post the landing pages in an organized manner.
Do you know how I can do that most efficiently?
Right but … what are /offername/lp1
Is offerman and lp1 separate sites or a page or what? 🙂 How do you want to manage what’s on /offername/lp1 ?
What I want to do is create
http://www.mydomain.com/dating/offername as a site and then add different pages to that.
So lp1, lp2, etc… are different landing pages.
I want to manage it with Multisite. So the idea is to create a different site for every offer.
The reason I’m pushing you on this is that in Multisite, these are multiple separte sites. We’re talking separate login areas, separate pages and posts, and everything like that.
So when you say http://www.mydomain.com/dating/offername needs to be a SITE, are you 100% sure they have to be separate? Because you can do this with posts and categories already.
If so, you install WP in http://www.mydomain.com/dating/ and make a site named offername
Under that, make pages for lp1 etc.
How can I do it with posts and categories?
I can create a new category and posts in that category. But how can I create pages in that category?
I need my url to show up like that http://www.mydomain.com/dating/offername.
If I do that with categories or Multisite doesn’t really matter.
So if you can do it with categories that’s probably way easier.
I need my url to show up like that http://www.mydomain.com/dating/offername.
So make your permalinks /category/permalink and that’s it.
I tried it. I think it’s only working for posts and not for pages if you do it like that.
Or am I doing something wrong?
Pages don’t have categories. Never have.
The pages should be general for the whole site.
