Hello!
TSF has no support for video sitemaps. We have found no proof of their efficacy; moreover, you’re only the second person to ask for this feature in 3 years…
Now, Google automatically detects videos via HTML5 parsing and those embedded from services like Vimeo and Youtube. Since you host your videos at Vimeo, I see no issue with this.
If you video-search your website on Google, you should find they already processed one video for display. The others should follow eventually, too.

Hi, Thanks for your reply, which is very interesting, if a little confusing given Google’s recommendations.
Despite using structured markup for Video Objects on every page, I am not finding that Google has processed a single video from my site for display. Instead they are picking them up from my YouTube channel, so I have no evidence yet that Google is seeing the videos on my website.
Please note per my original message that my videos (with one exception) are not hosted on Vimeo.
My site is HTML5 compatible, so I am not sure what else if anything I can do.
Are you suggesting that there is nothing else that I can do, in effect, or should I perhaps switch all the videos over to Vimeo?
Thanks in advance for any thoughts you can offer.
Hello!
Only that video from Vimeo is picked up correctly, yes (view image). I recommend sticking to video hosting services like theirs, which can save tremendously in bandwidth. Improved support from third parties, like Google, is there for YouTube and Vimeo, as aforementioned in my previous reply.
With “HTML5”, I meant implementing videos with poster attributes and all that fluff. Your best bet will still be using structured data, as described here: https://developers.google.com/search/docs/data-types/video. I’m not sure which plugin is best for you to deliver this, or if there’s any plugin out there that does it well at all; you’re laboring in a niche because bandwidth is expensive.
You may find it beneficial to introduce these video sitemaps. However, I am afraid only Yoast SEO has support for those: https://yoast.com/wordpress/plugins/video-seo/. But still, I hold no proof of it being effective.
