Dear WP power users,
This is the very first time I am using the forum for help. I hope my message will make sense. 🙂
I am keen to get your expert advice on how to setup a wordpress subfolder on my existing WP blog and maximize SEO.
I would like to create a new blog template -based on my existing blog template- for a new conference I will work on next year.
I plan to create something like ‘http://VisibleBanking.com/Social-Media-Health-Awards’ and buy a new domain ‘http://SocialMediaHealthAwards.com’ redirected to this new blog.
What is the best way to do that? Install WP in the new folder and copy all the key files from my existing template into that new folder? Or is it possible to use only 1 WP installation to maintain both blogs (which will have different headers, footer, sidebars…)?
If I do that, can I submit the new domain to the search engines like Google and tag it with new specific keywords?
How important is it to use ‘Social-Media-Health-Awards’ as subfolder name? How big is the impact on SEO?
Basically I want to make sure I fully maximize SEO and benefit from SEO on my existing blog (Page Rank 5).
Looking forward to your expert guidance.
