How to create a custom field?

    I’m just testing this plugin and I must say it is fantastic that you can create a whole lot of custom metadata and taxonomies with just arrays of values. That said, I’d like to know if there is a recommended way to build a custom field type, something along the line of the custom callback for a metabox, but for a single field.
