Often, you’ll need to manually delete WP Super Cache’s cached files from your server via FTP. Once they have been deleted and the cache purged (including the device cache), if the rejected user agents have been set up correctly, the caching plugin should no longer serve the desktop theme to mobile devices.
To configure your caching plugin not to cache mobile pages nor to serve cached pages when mobile devices are detected, enter the user agents found under Advanced Options > Custom User-Agents to the “rejected user agents” areas in your caching plugin’s settings.
What are the extra htaccess codes wpsupercache updates after enabling plugin helper?
Should this be enabled and should the htaccess be updated with the 2 lines?
I uninstalled wpsupercache still cannot switch between desktop and mobile so just disabled the option to choose in Advanced settings since users can choose on their devices/phones.
Still waiting for what I really need a answer to the question above which has no mention anywhere in support forums.
I know wptouch has user agents, should those be set to be rejected in cache? or only for not caching mobile?
Wpsupercache has also the mobile support tick box and plugin helper for wptouch.
Should both be used or which one if not?
The option included in WP Super Cache was built for WPtouch v1. Since WPtouch has been significantly upgraded, it no longer applies. Leave it disabled.

You may configure your caching plugin not to cache mobile pages nor to serve cached pages when mobile devices are detected. To do so, enter the user agents found in the documentation link below to the “rejected user agents” areas in your caching plugin’s settings. Remember to clear your plugin, browser, and device caches before retesting.

I just noticed the version does not list user agents as it did before
The documentation link provided has everything you’ll need to set up your caching plugin.
When I enter rejected agents the mobile version disappears, it just directs you to the themes latest news

Be sure you also clear the cache on the device you’re using for testing. Often WP Super Cache needs to have its stored files deleted from the server via FTP. If you post a url, we’ll be happy to take a look.

I have similar problems. Do you mean to clear all the content in this folder?
/wp-content/cache
Hello @vtrilles, what @bravenewcode Inc. means is to clear the cache on the mobile device you are testing for example your mobile phone or tablet etc although the free version of the plugin does not cater for ipads or tablets.
Kind regards
