    Hello Everyone,

I'm having some trouble setting up the Twenty Fourteen theme http://twentyfourteendemo.wordpress.com/. My install is on a local machine for a site that is not yet live, but I want to try to keep it on the "Bleeding Edge" of development when it goes live.

My main issue i'm having is that I cannot get the intro section to work properly (Where they show the most recent post from each category, I mean.

Themeshaper.com also uses the "Further" theme, which is what twenty fourteen is based on, but I cannot find any documentation on it since further has been retired.

Can anyone point me in the right direction with this :)

This section is called "featured content". It's still very much under development; currently happening in the following Trac ticket: http://core.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/25549. The initial UI was committed a few days ago (in Seetings->Reading for now), but it is still subject to significantly change. It will also (probably) have the option to display as a slider instead of the default grid view (which does provide a better user experience than a slider).

Note that while WordPress 3.7 is on the verge of release, Twenty Fourteen is being released with 3.8, not 3.7. Twenty Fourteen is still in "alpha" development and won't be ready for primetime until (hopefully) December when 3.8 comes out.

    Thank's Nick!

I knew I was missing something. I do understand it is in Alpha -- I actually ended up using a different theme for the time being.

@tsinclair1982 - this thread is outdated and marked resolved. Twentyfourteen theme is no longer in alpha/beta so this forums is not the place to post. Please post in the theme's own forum here:
