Support » Plugin: Coverflow YouTube Videos » How to configure shortcode for Playlist

  • Resolved Loulee

Hello Sardbaba, I love the coverflow video player and how it displays the videos. I am having a bit of difficulty with getting the player to play a playlist.

    • I have left my youtube profile name in the “Username (Global):”
    • On the page I want to display the playlist I have put in the following: [coverflow_youtube_videos list=”PLAYLIST_Sports”]

Can you please tell me if the naming convention is wrong?

    Thank you

  • Hello again, I have just tested a profile on a smartphone, the center video is the only one that I can access? The other videos are tucked in behind and you cant swipe the screen to take you to the next video?
    Have I done something wrong?
    Thanks for any help.

I have figured out how to put in the playlists, for those who don’t know after the equals sign[coverflow_youtube_videos list=””]put in between the speech marks the url of the playlist from YouTube.

Hi Loulee, yep you are right 🙂

is intended as the identification string of the playlist taken from the youtube URL.

For the smartphone problem, I think you can play with some media queries rules of the CSS.

Nop I’m sorry! I forgot that the library for the coverflow functionalities is not well supported under mobile devices.

You can see the original version here:

If this doesn’t work, it can’t work not even on this plugin. I’ve used this library because is released under the MIT licence and it is compatible with the WordPress’s GPL.

I’ll give it a try, to check if I can solve this issue.

Thank you so much for looking at this. I will go to the link and have a look, I am a bit of a newbie so it could be beyond me??

    Hi Loulee,

the Coverflow creator has not included the Android recognition but just iPod and iPhone. I’ve added it and he made a typo correction (exactly where there is a check for the tap action or the scroll one) that I’ve resolved and now it seems to work.

Sometimes (on my page) you can not do the scrolling of the page but reloading the page works. Now, I dunno if it is a problem of my site or it is related with something else… I haven’t intensely tested and debugged but it seems to work…

Please update the plugin and let me know if you are experiencing the same page scrolling problems.

Thank you sardbaba for the replies and time taken to look into this, it works perfectly 🙂
