Support » Plugin: W3 Total Cache » How to completely uninstall

  • What are all the files/folders that W3 Total Cache installed? I need to be able to completely uninstall it, as it seems to be creating a conflict with my theme or possibly another plugin so that my mobile website is not reflecting the current theme’s css, js, etc.
(I’m not 100% that w3tc is the one causing the problem, but it’s the only one I’ve been able to narrow the problem down to)

I found that in addition to data in the main plugins folder, it also has a “w3rc-config” folder in the “wp-content” folder, and it looks like a “Cache” folder was added as well. I’ve deleted those two, and I’ve been able to make some progress (some parts of the mobile site changed) – but it’s not all the way there yet.

Are there any other files or folders anywhere else that I can hunt down and remove?

    Thank you

  • Having the same problem. The results I get when I speed check the site on various pages showing results as if the TC was still being installed.

Damn, follow all instructions above and the speed checking sites STILL search for the TC minyfied files.

My file structure didn’t look anything like those mentioned in the instructions. I have this “cache” directory in WP-Content that’s filled with w3tc code. The instructions say to not worry if some of those extra files aren’t there.. well I had none of them. I’m not sure what to do at this point. I wonder if re-installing wordpress to return to only WP-essential files is a thing I should risk…

I have the same issues. I can’t find any more files associated with TC, YET all the speed testing sites are reading from files produced by this plug when it was installed.
