[Resolved] How to completely remove plugin?

  • Hey there. Great plugin. Was working fine then I had to uninstall it. Upon re installing it I cant get the post to display and the last feeds I subscribed to are still in the plugin setting. I would like to COMPLETELY remove the plugin and re install again. Is there a DB file I need to delete to make this happen? If so what is the file name and location.

    Thanks

    Chris

    Hi Chris,

When you uninstall the plugin, it deletes the settings fields it uses from the wp_options table. These are the fields it currently uses:

    wprss_db_version
    wprss_settings_general
    wprss_settings_notices

As I said, these should have been removed automatically when you uninstalled and deleted the plugin.

The feed sources and feeds imported are stored as custom post types and as per plugin best practice are not removed when you uninstall and delete the plugin. You will thus need to search in the wp_posts table for all posts with the field post_type equal to wprss_feed and wprss_feed_item. Remove everything and you’re done.
