Support » Plugin: WooCommerce » How to change/customize html output of checkout fields

  • Hello,

    how can I change/customize the html output of the input rows in the checkout page.
    I don’t want to add or remove specefic fields, but I want to change the classes, use ‘div’ instead of ‘p’ tags and add other custom tags.

    You’d need to override the WooCommerce template file powering those forms. A good starter-guide on that is available at: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/template-structure/

    Thanks for your fast reply.
    But there is no tempalte which generates the html output of the different fields.

    In form-billing.php I have this:

    <?php foreach ( $checkout->checkout_fields['billing'] as $key => $field ) : ?>
    		<?php woocommerce_form_field( $key, $field, $checkout->get_value( $key ) ); ?>
    	<?php endforeach; ?>

    The “woocommerce_form_field()” function generates these outputs I’m talking about. And there is no template which this functions references to, or am I missing something?
