how to change wording on comment form/template

  • My theme is twenty-ten. I need to change the language on the comment form that asks for ‘name’ to something like ‘blog id, not your real name’, because the blog is for kids whose parents may not want their real names out there. I’ve made a child theme and searched the code under comments.php, functions.php, style.css and elsewhere. I can’t find where to change this. Does anyone know?

Is there an easier way to change the wording on the comment form?

    FYI, my site is http://www.janepeddicord.com/spaceblog/

    Thanks out there!

Don’t edit the Twenty Ten theme! Your changes will be over-written the next time you upgrade WordPress or the theme. For this reason, it is recommended that you consider creating a child theme for your customisations.

Thanks for your concern Esmi, but I did first create a child theme in which to make changes. I haven’t made any yet, though, as I can’t find where to change the language in the comment form. Anyone know?

Ah – in that case, you need to delve into the arguments and fields for comment_form
