  • With regards to redirection, if you are using permalinks (ones generated by WordPress) then you should be fine, no changes needed – it’s only absolute references that you need to change in your code, but even then WP adds a rewrite rule so that old URLs are redirected automatically.

    I too have an issue with ‘/blog/’ appearing after my domain name and I can’t get rid of it, so I’d be very interested to see if anyone knows a solution.

    Duckboy and others, just to let you know, I bottled it and paid someone $50 to put the blog in the root directory and now no longer have the dreaded /blog/ in our URLs. Only took a couple of hours for them to do it.
