Support » Fixing WordPress » How to change the wordpress blog's INSTALLED directory?

  • I had to shift my BLOGGER blog to WORDPRESS, so i purchased a temporary domain lets say TEMP.COM so that i can make the shift while my blog can be stay online during the shift.

So i purchased a webhosting and setup wordpress blog with TEMP.COM

Then after successful upgradation i changed the domain name now i am facing some issues when i try to upgrade wordpress or plugins.

Warning: file_exists() [function.file-exists]: open_basedir restriction in effect. File(/home/cryptmei/domains/TEMP.COM/public_html/wp-content/uploads//wordpress-3.tmp) is not within the allowed path(s):

it tries to download tmp files in old directory which not exists anymore, the above error can only be solved by telling the wordpress about new dirctory that is NEWDOMAIN.COM

Warning: file_exists() [function.file-exists]: open_basedir restriction in effect. File(/home/cryptmei/domains/NEWDOMAIN.COM/public_html/wp-content/uploads//wordpress-3.tmp) is not within the allowed path(s):

Anybody know how can i change the path?
