  • If youu’re using one of the fresher versions (e.g. 4.6 or newer):
Admin panel -> Settings -> General settings
Choose web site language and save. That’s it.

In WP 4.7 and later every logged in user may separately choose their language for tha admin panel (among those languages that have been added to the installation). In other words, if one of the users would like to have the admin-panel in Swedish, then you’d just temporarily change website language to Swedish, jump over to the “updates” page and hit the language updates button, then go back to the settings and select the correct language for the site. After this, your Swedish collegaue would be able to use admin panel in Swedish… 🙂

+For earlier versions of WP, you’d have to edit a parameter in wp-config.php. A little bit harder, but still very achievable.

You can change your language preference under “Settings” –> “General” from the dashboard.

I want to change the language from English to Italian.

You can do this by different ways.
    1. By installing the language files from the Admin Dashboard.
    2. By manually installing the Language Files.
    3. By using a plugin to install Language Files.
    4. By setting the language for your site.

The easiest option is to change the language in the admin settings screen as suggested in option 4. Settings > General > Site Language.

In case if the requested language is not available in the option, you need to install the language files manually as suggested in option 2.

    Thanks,
    Krupa Nanda
