How to change the default order status for each payment gateway

Hello,

In our shop, customers can pay via a couple of different payment gateways.
We have 3 methods were the customers pay directly when they order and we have 2 methods were the customers pay AFTER they receive the products of the order at home, sometimes this is weeks after they placed the order.

Woocommerce sets the order status of all new orders automaticly to: ‘in progress’.

How can I set the default order status of the 2 payment gateways for pay after delivery to: awaiting payment, or something?

I dont read anything there about different default order status by payment methode.
Plus 49,- a year is expensive. Isnt there another way?

I installed WooCommerce Order Status Manager on my test site just to be sure, and I can confirm that it doesn’t include a setting to specify order status based on payment methods used.

I found an alternative plugin that does seem to support this, however: https://www.tychesoftwares.com/store/premium-plugins/custom-order-status-woocommerce/
