    Hello:

I am having a problem with the vendor vs the author of the custom post type. It seems as though you trigger many functions off of the product vendor role. This is perfect for just about everything….except. If another user, not the vendor creates a product the “author” is the one who created the product custom post type. So functions within woocommerce are ok but if you need to author to be equal to the vendor, even though the vendor field is correct, there is no way to access the information from WP because the author is not the vendor.

So, how do I change the author to be equal to vendor? I am not talking about roles here I am talking about the author field within wordpress.

    Also

So if an author creates a product for a vendor, the vendor can not edit their product because vendor does not = author (again, not roled but database fields).

    Thanks

    Hi,

a vendor can edit only our products for a security reason.
The website admin or a shop manager can edit all products (from each vendor).
I hope to understand what you want to tell me.
    Thanks
