Support » Plugin: PDF & Print by BestWebSoft » How to change PDF font

  • Hi there,

    I have created a custom PDF layout with bwsplgns_get_pdf_print_content and I would like to change the font. Where does the pdf get the font from? I am trying to change the font to the main website custom font but with no success. Is there a way to do that?

    If it’s not possible to have a custom font, is there a way to use any other system font like Arial?

    Thanks

    Hi,

    PDF&Print plugin’s work based on MPDF library (http://www.mpdf1.com/). This library recognizes language (in which your post is created) and connects the font in accordance with this language so that the post could be displayed correctly in PDF version. Unfortunately, because of MPDF functionality and algorithm for generating PDF files, it is impossible to change or connect additional fonts. But you can select from available fonts.
    You can find the list of all available fonts here: https://mpdf.github.io/fonts-languages/available-fonts-v6.html
    For this:
    1) Go to the plugin settings page;
    2) Open “Output” tab;
    3) Find “Additional Fonts” and check if additional fonts was loaded. If necessary, click “Load Fonts”;
    4) Mark “Custom CSS” checkbox in the corresponding meta box. After that, you’ll see a field where you can add the necessary styles. We’d like to note that some styles cannot be applied to PDF/Print versions.
    You can find more information about available CSS styles here: https://mpdf.github.io/css-stylesheets/supported-css.html
    6) Save changes;

    Sincerely,
