Support » Fixing WordPress » how to change my blog description

  • Hey all,

I want to change the description of my blog. I know you can do so in the “General” tab of the dashboard, but that has been blank for some time to keep the title and description from appearing over my logo. However, when you search for http://www.typhoonproductions.com in a search engine like Google, it still lists the original description. Is there any way to change the description that appears in the search engine?

Yes – add it via Settings->General.

Ok, a little update. Today i went to the site and the title and description are completely gone. Is there a way to add them to the search engine listing without having the text and description mucking up the logo on the actual page?

That would explain why they were blank.

No. Google uses what it finds on your pages. Try positioning them off screen using CSS.

Hm, alright. How would i do that? I’m not familiar with CSS.

Until we can see the title & description on your pages, we can’t really say, either.

Hm, should i put it up then and then you can tell me how to move it?
