How to change media upload location with child theme

    Re-upload a fresh, unpacked, copy of the Twenty Twelve folder to wp-content/themes using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides.

    So I need to reinstall the theme? But won’t I lose the work I’ve already done? Sorry, but now I’m more confused.

    What work? Have you been editing the theme’s files?

    No, but I would like a better understanding of why I have to reinstall it in the first place? For a ‘fresh unpacked copy’ – do I just uninstall and reinstall from themes?
    And wouldn’t I lose my child theme file?
    Sorry for all the questions ;-(

    To ensure that you have a good, original, copy. This is not the default behaviour in Twenty Twelve.

    No. Download the theme, unpack it and upload the theme’s folder to wp-content/themes.

    And wouldn’t I lose my child theme file?

    No – that is completely separate.
