Support » Theme: Coraline » How to change link color

  • Resolved tripvader

    I have been using this theme for a few days but I’m not able to change the link color to the usual “blue” which is common for most websites when they are linking to another site.

    When I tried to simply put down: it didn’t work and when I tried to insert the link in the text that didn’t work either.

    Can you post a link to your website?

    Hi tripvader, did you still need help with this?

    Unvisited links in Coraline are already blue, but you can change the shade of blue to whatever you like with this custom CSS:

    .entry-content a:link {
    	color: #bb00bb;

    Change the colour code as you like:

    Don’t edit the theme files directly, otherwise your changes will be overwritten when the theme is updated.

    An easy way to add custom CSS is to install the Jetpack plugin and activate the Custom CSS module. You’ll then add your custom CSS in the new stylesheet editor that’ll appear in your dashboard, under Appearance > Edit CSS.

    As alternatives, you could either install a standalone custom CSS plugin, or create a child theme.

    I’m newly using CORALINE theme and the links for pages and posts on the left side column are not lighting up BLUE- half are staying black but they still open if clicked on. How to fix? I only know how to do can do simple code changes but i can’t find where.

    I would LOVE to have my photo under the header in the CENTER, not to the left. That whole space is for an image but since i just used my head shot it’s small, and would look more balanced in the middle.

    Thanks much! Sophia

    Give me a break! My link still won’t send so i won’t hyperlink it. Here it is

    Hi Sophia,
    Could you actually start a new thread – as this one is months old – you can start a new one here:

    BTW, you can just post your link – no buttons needed – anything starting with http:// automatically becomes a link (pretty cool, huh?).
