  • I figured it out.
If you do not have a compatible 2.5 theme, it doesn’t come up

I spoke too soon. It allowed me to deal with widgets but nothing
to do with the header image or color.
Any ideas out there???? Did I goof something up???

The “fourth” category to which you refer is a theme dependent feature. I.e., a theme package can allow you to change the header color and so forth from the dashboard, but the standard installation of WordPress does not.

If your theme does not have the header editing feature, you’ll have to edit the stylesheet (the style.css document) found in your theme folder.
