    I am new at wordpress, i wanted to change some text at the bottom of my footer.php but i think i did something wrong because it doesn't show the footer now on my main page. http://guidetohealthy.com
    the code is

     * The template for displaying the footer.
     * Contains the closing of the #content div and all content after
     * @package deLighted
    		</div><!-- #content -->
    	</div><!-- #content-wrap -->
    		<nav id="footer-navigation" class="second-navigation clear" role="navigation">
    		    <?php wp_nav_menu( array( 'theme_location' => 'extra-menu' ) ); ?>
    		</nav><!-- #footer-navigation -->
    	<footer id="colophon" class="site-footer" role="contentinfo">
    		<div class="site-info">
    			<?php do_action( 'delighted_credits' ); ?>
    			<?php printf( __( '© 2014 Your guide to healthy living. &nbsp All rights reserved. Some pages may contain affiliate content from Amazon.com', 'delighted' ), 'WordPress' ); ?>
    			<span class="sep"> | </span>
    			<?php printf( __( 'Theme:  by: delighted. Like us on facebook: https://www.facebook.com/guidetohealthy.  ' ), 'deLighted' );
    		</div><!-- .site-info -->
    	</footer><!-- #colophon -->
    </div><!-- #page -->
    <?php wp_footer(); ?>

    Please post in http://wordpress.org/support/theme/delighted/

    In the meantime, do not edit the theme itself. Create a child theme for your changes. Or install a custom CSS plugin.

    Re-upload a fresh, unpacked, copy of the theme's folder to wp-content/themes using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides.

    But if i upload a fresh unpacked theme to my folder, all of my theme content will disappear ain't that right? And i will have a new theme, without all the changes i have made..

    Your site's content is stored in your database - not in your theme.

    As I explained above, you should not be editing the theme at all.

  5. the content is in the database and will be kept.

    however, any previous customization of your theme will be lost.

    possibly start by just uploading a fresh copy of footer.php to repair whatever you have broken; or compare your code with this:
