How to change font type using typekit in server installed wordpress?

  • Well, I’m having this trouble.I want to change the font of the headlines of my site TrepatorFX and the thing is that I installed the typekit plugin and when I try to edit using the embbed code provided by typekit site, nothing happens. I know how to use typekit in a wordpress blog because I used it in my previous blog, which was not in my server, so a menu appeared in the appearence tab of the dashboard and I had the typekit ID and all that stuff. In my server wordpress only appears typekit config in the settings tab. Any ideas?
    Cheers

  • I have the same problem. Typekit support covers only WordPress sites that you don’t host on your own server.

Typekit treats self-hosted blogs differently. There is the Editor -tool instead of the easier TypeKit connection.

I managed to paste the two lines of Typekit script into my ‘header.php’ file, which should be enough to activate the service. I still need to apply the appropriate Typekit class such as “.tk-ff-enzo-web” to the tags I want to have styled with a Typekit font.

I’m sure there is a way to connect a typekit class to my h1 or body tags through php, but it’s all f*king php! My php-skills suck, and I can’t figure out how to do it.
