    I’ve moved this topic to the themes forum & added a simple-catch tag.

    If you look at the stylesheet you’ll see the following block:

    body {
    	font:14px Arial, sans-serif;

    which sets up defaults for the body text. This theme has a handy admin panel with an custom CSS styles page where additional CSS can be defined rather than editing the stylesheet, so you can override the color property by entering a new value there – for example using my favourite hex colour code – obviously you’d use a value of your chosen colour here instead of my badass snot green example:

    body {

    More specific rules in the stylesheet already override the body rules for other elements such as headings, so values for the colour of these elements can also be defined in the theme admin custom css styles pagcustoms change the colour of these.

    You can Use view source, firebug, web developer toolbar or chrome’s web dev features to help identify which rules apply to which elements.

    Hi Everyone,

    I don’t recommend you all to make changes on the theme files as it will get override when we update the theme to new version.

    So, for the simple css changes and adding, I recommend you to use our “Custom CSS Styles” box in the Theme Options under Appearance Tab in your WordPress Dashboard.

    For changing the font you can just add the following css in Custom CSS Styles box

    body {
        color: #555555; /* Replace the value to the color you want */

    You can make any css changes. Heading color, link color and etc.

    I did all the same things and made changes in css style for changing H1 title and H2 title and makes appropriate changes while I’m logged in as administrator but when I go to website the changes haven’t taken place. This is what I put in for css changes

    h1#site-title {
    font-family: ‘Lobster’;
    font-size: 72px;
    font-weight: normal;
    padding-bottom: 0;

    h1#site-title a {
    color: #ff9900;
    h2#site-description {
    color: #303030;
    font-size: 24px;

    h2#site-description { padding-top: 30px; }

    Again, changes take place while logged in but not when logged out. My site is

    Never mind. It worked. Just needed a few minutes, etc. to have changes take effect.
