  • @lmn927,

    Subscribe2->Settings and carefully select from the dropdown list where is says “Send Email From”. It may be wise to set up a dummy user account specifically to send the emails from and make sure you give that account an on domain email address.

    The drop down here has my blog name selected but I can’t see the actual email address. ???

    @lmn927,

    Your blog name would use the address specified in Settings->General. As I said above – It may be wise to set up a dummy user (in Users->Add New) account specifically to send the emails from and make sure you give that account an on domain email address.

    I am having the same problem, maybe the following information might be of use.

    My emails were coming from my site admin email address, which I don’t want, so I set up a new dummy user with a domain email address.

    However, this user does not appear in the drop down list unless I make them an administrator. If I do, they appear and I can set them as the email sender. However, if I change them back to Subscriber the email sender reverts to either Post Author or Administrator.

    Hope this helps, and it would really be nice to select a dummy account, especially as hackers keep trying to hack into my site all the time (I have login protection thankfully).

    @poddys,

    Subscribe2 requires the sender account to be created at ‘Administrator’ level. However, once you’ve created such an account and selected it in the settings you could demote the account to a lower level and provided you don’t change your settings and can cope with the dropdown listing not containing the current sender it should still be used and work fine.

    Ah ok, I will try that, thanks. The last thing I want to do is to expose any Admin account on the site.
